A FINE 12mm (PERRIN THICK-RIM) DOUBLE-ACTION SELF-EXTRACTING REVOLVER, MODEL 'GALAND'S PATENT', serial no. 1363,
circa 1870, with blued octagonal 4 5/8in. barrel signed on the left hand side 'GALAND, PARIS', small dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the top of the standing breech, blued and stepped six-shot cylinder with engraved bands to front and rear edges drawing forwards to extract cases when opened via the articulated border engraved under-lever, the same lever also forming the trigger-guard bow, spurred hammer, semi-sawhandled chequered walnut grip, domed iron butt-cap and loose lanyard ring, the whole retaining much original factory blued finish
